  1. Hello, I have a 2009 3.2L A5 Quattro S-line I am currently stuck with a fault I cannot find any information on at all. I change my battery as the last one finally died and now I have an EPC and Engine Light, as well as none other than one strange fault code in the AUTO HVAC module: 1 Fault Found 01206 - Signal for Duration of Ignition Off Time 008 - Implausible Signal Freeze Frame Fault Status 01101000 Fault Priority 7 Fault Frequency 1 Reset Counter 170 Millage 102156 km Time Indication 0 Date 2009.06.26 Time 00.32.45 Back story My car battery was on its way out, it was an original Audi battery and I could tell it was going because it started to read voltages bellow 12v, and the car was taking longer and longer to start. Yesterday, I started my car once, drove up the road, turn it off for 30 min and then it wouldn’t start but just crank slower and slower each time I tried until eventually it was just clicking. Then curtain electronics started shutting off one by one. We tried to bump start the car down a hill as we didn’t have jump leads but this didn’t work. So I bought a new battery, put it all in, put key in, Coded it on VCDS by changing 1 value on the serial code, thats when I got the EPC light, the engine warning light and this time there was no cracking no starting. That’s when I did the scan and that’s the only fault code that keeps coming up. I tried clearly the codes a couple of times but this didn’t help, I tried a different battery also with no luck. Voltage hasn’t dropped as I’ve been getting 12.3V constantly. All electrics now work fine, When I go to try and start, my dials do the usual sweep and I here an repeated whooshing sound from the rear middle of the car for a couple of seconds and 1 click, from somewhere under the dashboard in the drivers side… and then nothing. Someone said the whooshing sound is probably the pump priming? And that I could have shorted something when I connected up the car? Someone else said it sounds like my instrument cluster is electronically stoping the signal to my starter? I am really not sure what it may be, perhaps a sensor of some kind? I have visually checked all the fuses in all 4 fuses boxes of my car and they look fine, I am not sure where the starter relays are though and don’t have diagrams to tell me which one it is so Idk how to check those. I am really stumped and I can’t find anyone with the same issue as me, I have search many forums but still can’t find anything, but I thought I’d post here just incase there are people who may know what’s happening. Thanks.

  3. Just thought I would share my most recent upgrade to my 2012 B8.5 A5 Coupe. managed to find an RS5 grey boot lid with integrated spoiler form a breakers yard. Got the boot lid, liner and spoiler module for £280 Frustratingly they had chopped the wires near the module so bought the connector from eBay. Along with the centre console spoiler switch and finally the electrical plug for that switch. installing the boot lid was quite simple requiring very little adjustment. wired and spliced in where necessary after getting two quotes at nearly £1K to paint the boot lid I decided to do it myself with rattle cans. I sanded it down.. well keyed up the surface - primed it, painted and lacquered it. Followed by plenty of sanding and polishing. Coded the spoiler to the car with an OBDEleven - what an awesome tool that is!! Gotta say.. I really like the end result. Comes up and down automatically at the relevant speeds too.
  4. Went to my first Audi show today, Vorsprung International at Market Harborough ‘showground’. Exhibitors were a bit thin on the ground compared to the VW shows I have been to in the past, with Abt importer Richter Automotive the biggest presence with three show cars. If anything, there was more to see in the various club parking areas. Who knew there could be so many variations on Audi club names! 🤔😉. Apologies for the Avantcentric photos, I was looking for inspiration for my own B9. The Avant on air below manages to make a roof box look cool. My choice from the Richter stand. The three cars on display were all for sale. Didn’t see the price of this RS6, but someone mentioned £120k. Seems legit. Can’t beat a V8 Dunno if I can decide if this is cringe or classy? These on the other hand are very desirable; the ceramic brakes and the Abt wheels. Plenty of Avants on display, more A6 than A4 though. 🤔 Maybe not everyone’s colour choice, but I liked it. Original RS4. Still want one. It wasn’t just about the modern stuff. Developed a soft spot for this little red NSU and I don’t think I have ever seen so many Ro80’s in one place! One of my all time favourite cars. Sport Quattro. Homologation special from Group B rallying. Still looks mint. Audi 100 low rider in the show n shine This 80’s throwback was pretty cool too. I wasn’t counting but I reckon the TT was the most represented Audi model at the show. Couple of engine bays on display here from the show n shine.
  5. Selling for a friend. 2001 Audi TT roadster convertible. Very tidy example. Has had at some point, a professionally fitted audi sport body kit and re-spray. Overall very tidy bodywork for its age, especially the engine bay (I personally haven't seen such a clean engine bay on a 100k+ car before), there is a bubble of rust forming on the bootlid (visible in pic) and the wheels could do with a little tlc. Just had brand new starter motor, fuel sender unit, n/s/r tyre and a years MOT. It does have 2 little annoying issues. Firstly the electric roof doesn't open automatically. This seems to be a common tt issue, as the motor runs fine. And secondly it has a noisy thrust bearing, although It drives beautifully (I took it for a test drive myself recently).   7. Any one come across a problem with the heated seat on the super sports seat? The red light that indicates the heated seat is on flickers on for a second then completely turns off. If I try pressing the button again no lights will come on however if I turn the car off and back on then the button will flicker again. Element, relays?? Any help would be much appreciated. Cheers
  8. Hello, has anyone upgraded their 2012-2015 A4 Allroad Tdi Quattro Halogen headlights? Was it easy, what did you install, any part numbers & where did you buy the replacement headlights you installed...Please? I have looked online and conflicting information or not detailed enough, or not sufficient detail, so I would appreciate anyone that has done it to let me know. I am looking for brighter lights and maybe a newer look but more light is key, unless anyone knows what bulbs would be better?

  10. I currently have Avon ZV7s on my Quattro Avant. I am considering going with the Contis next time. The Avons are very good but the idea of all weather tyres apeals to me. Especially as I live halfway down a muddy old hill - its all muddy around my part of Somerset actually 😕
  11. Hi everyone, I recently bought an a3 8p 2.0tfsi quattro 56 plate. I serviced it and put new discs and pads on. When it came to putting on the front right the discs wouldn’t fit. The guy asked me to check breakers for a carrier and a wheel hub. I bought both but it didn’t fix the job. My front brakes should have 312mm discs. The left does but the right has 282mm discs. Any help? I can’t figure out why the standard 312mm discs don’t fit. Is it the wheel hub, carrier or something else? Any help will be very much appreciated. for reference my front brakes should be: 312mm by 25mm

  13. Hi everybody I am looking for a honest and reliable garage in and around Kingston to service my 7 year old Audi A4. I have sent it to Wimbledon Audi a couple of times, but somehow I feel they are a ripoff. Just to add, my car is an Audi A4 SE Technik TDI Quattro Diesel. I bought it for new in 2016, when it was 3 years old (I am the 2nd owner). I wonder if I need to do a cambelt change too? Do I need a Major service? I had it last serviced in Oct 2018 when it had done approx 35k miles. Right now its at 45.5k miles. so just under 10k miles in 2 years. Mostly its short drives around or max 1 or 2 hours on the odd occasion. Thanks!

  15. Hi everyone! Looking for an Audi A4 B6 Avant Quattro with the 1.9 PD130 engine for sale. Ideally located in Scotland or north of England as I myself am located in north east Scotland. Been keeping an eye out on Gumtree, Ebay, Autotrader and various other online car sale websites for a while now and can't seem to find one up for sale.   16. Ive owned my a6 for 3 years and i thought i will document here all mods/fixes/problems/etc on one thread. I have lots to put on here so it will take some time but please comment/ask and advise if you know anything that i dont :) The car is great!!!   17. Hi all I'm looking into buying an Audi A3/S3 2.0tfsi quattro, 5 door, from around the 2008 mark. I'm planning on tastefully modding and remapping this car and have heard you can reap 310bhp+- from them without any heavy modifications. Looking on auto trader, I've noticed that there seems to be a variation on the power outputs, from what looks to me to be the same engine. So finally, my question is - are the 2.0 tfsi engines in the A3 (200bhp) , A3 - s line (197bhp) , and S3 (263bhp), all the same, meaning they'd produce the same output with a remap?   18. Audi S4 2012. 3L V6 petrol (330bhp) MOT and good service history! 67,000 miles. Fully Loaded with Sat Nav and bang and olufsen sound system. Fully automatic with tiptronic steering wheel paddles. Xenon head lights. Custom fitted cat-back exhaust (also includes original exhaust to set to standard within price). 4 fairly new tyres, recently had new disks and pads on front and recent Quattro wheel alignment. 2 owners including myself. All work and services in past been done by an audi approved garage. I bought 4 years ago from a volkswagen dealer. In great condition and never had any mechanical problems or been in an accident.

Hi guys, I have a 2003 facelift a3 8L with the ARY engine, the engine has been !Removed! since I've had it, got a print out from a rolling road that says 240bhp however it only just beat a 140bhp 2006 Honda civic type s so probably running tops 170bhp. I've got my hands on a BAM engine but I dont have the tools or time to replace it myself, how much roughly will it cost to get it changed at a garage? Obviously this wont be happening until lockdown is over but thought I could start saving now as I'm luckily still working. Thanks in advance.

  21. Hello everyone, I'm Matt and thought I would briefly introduce myself and my 2005 (55) S4 B7 4.2V8 Quattro. I bought my S4 in March 2018 as a treat to myself following some tough times. Two years on and I still can't drive it, but I'm determined that's going to change this year. If anyone can recommend a good place to get engine parts at OEM or uprated standard without paying stealer prices, I'm all ears! 😊

Hi I’ve been loosing coolant pretty rapidly the past few day’s I can’t see any leaks I’ve changed the expansion tank cap and no difference I’ve changed the oil and it wasn’t milky at all if I put my foot down to about 90 the temp will start to creep up any ideas? Head gasket maybe? I’ve had The garage test the head for leaks twice and there wasn’t any but it seems like I’ve got back pressure in the coolant system.

  25. Hello all, I have one of the 800 Mk1 Audi TT 240 quattro sport's. I am baffled by how slow it is, it's meant to do 0-60 in around 5.8 seconds. I also have a 2007 Nissan 350z 313GT. I know the TT 240 sport is meant to be very similar to the 350z in regards to performance, but my 350z feels and is so so so so much faster! Does anybody have any idea why the 240 sport is so slow?!? It does 0-60 in about 9 seconds where as my 350z does it in around 5.3 seconds. On paper they have the exact same 1/4 mile time of 14.6 seconds.
