I am retrofitting an RNS-E to my A4 B7 which is going OK as I previously retrofitted an RNS-D to an A4 B5 znd got it fully functional, even my local Audi dealer was impressed. This time I am a little confused by the Navigation/TV tuner. What does it do for navigation as I have no interest in TV in the car. If it serves nothing useful for the navigation I am tempted to use the connector on the head unit for an aftermarket bluetooth music interface. The CD changer connects direct to the head unit as does the GPS anttena.

Hi everyone Ive just retro fitted cruise control & DIS (driver information system) stalk to my 2006 B7 also did another lads from work last week. Its was fairly easy to do and for the £40 I paid for a second hand squib / levers , well worth the money! Ive put this video together on how to fit the stalks and run through the coding using a snap on scanner (in expert mode) Ive not gone into great detail explaining how I found the exact codes I needed to input but have put links to the rosstech site where the codes are explained a lot better , its fairly easy to get your head round once you have a quick read.. ive also put a link in the video description to a google drive file which again explains the procedures quite well. along as you can work out your correct codes you can follow my coding procedure but just entering the codes which suit your vehicle 🙂

Hi everyone. My 1997 Audi A8 D2 has never been equipped with a phone. Recently I got an Audi phone and beautifully installed it in my car not being aware that the phone works with the Bluetooth MMI module of cars like 2006 A4,6,8, etc. However, I am still looking for some ways to make it work as a separate GSM phone as it has the SIM slot and logically can work independently. I installed a cradle with a charger. However, the phone when starting it is looking for the Bluetooth base station, fails to find and that is it. Other options of Bluetooth other devices and many telephone options are faded, although the faded options show SIM card and many other usual cellular phone option. Several times it found other Bluetooth devices in my car but could not connect. So, I am left with questions and need your help: 1. How is it possible to make the phone forget the base station on Bluetooth and connect to other devices? Ideal option. 2. If 1 is not possible, how to stop automatic start of Bluetooth search? Mediocre option 3. What additional device from Audi electronics do I need to get the phone work? Costly option.

Has anyone tried to retrofit or can give me some suggestions how to adapt the new tail lights on my Audi A8 55TFSI 2018 with the new tail lights Oled 2022 version? It does has different connectors with one more pin, and i cannot find the right kit of harness for them (and will be needed to be coded as well) but now I need the wiring adaptations I attached the current connectors and the new ones (green and blue) Thank you!!

Hi all, this is my first forum post so please let me know if I’m doing it all wrong 😂 Can’t anyone help with the following. I’ve recently purchased power folding mirrors for my A3 8V PFL. I understand I need the following for the retrofit: Power folding mirrors New door modules Mirror switch Optic Interior Door handle / window switch surround My original door module part numbers are 5Q0959393 B 5Q0959392 B The configuration part number also has a B at the end. I purchased the following door modules 5Q0959593 B 5Q0959592 B Now… After installing I took it round to my neighbour who has VCDS who was going to code it all in for me. When attempting to code… The drivers side was already showing as coded in, and did fold… BUT…. All of my window switches are backwards. So I wind the window down, it goes up, I tilt the mirror up it goes right and so on. Also my puddle lights not coming on, neither is the little reflective light on the door shuts. I think my alarm has also been disabled (I’m assuming linked to the disable alarm switch also in the door shut). My passenger side wouldn’t let him code, and was throwing up an error saying open circuit. After pulling the mirror back off I found one tiny graze exposing the some wire, which I must’ve caught during the install. So that’s all been repaired now but I’ve not had time to get over to see if it will now allow him to code. I’m confident the passenger side should be good to go now but I’m baffled by the drivers door working backwards. I originally purchased the wrong door module for the drivers side 5Q0959593 E But have now replaced it with the correct module 5Q0959593 B. Is there more to the coding side that needs to be done? Any help or input would be much appreciated.

I posted a topic similar to this the other day but as yet, have had no feed back. I have been looking to upgrade my MMI basic plus in my car (red mono screen) with MMI high (colour screen). Has anyone done this? I found this website which tells me I could do it for £1,000: http://www.f-knaviexpert.co.uk/product/audi-a6a5a4q7-convert-mmi-basic-plus-to-mmi-high/ But have since found the same company on e-bay offering, what seems at face value at least, the same service for £150: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Audi-A6-A4-Q7-Convert-MMI-Basic-into-MMI-High-/122170903082?hash=item1c71f40a2a:m:m2ZYGqZ3b77FbgJvHx2vyHQ I am no idiot and know that it is not to be trusted but has anyone used "F-K Navi Expert"?

I quite fancy getting dab radio in my 62 plate a4 (mmi 3g). Read a few bits of info I've found saying it can be retrofitted? Anyone done this? I have found a few genuine second hand dab units which apparently fit in the boot with all the other mmi gubbins and connect with certain cables to the mmi, all which can be bought online quite cheaply? Then use a 3rd party aerial which can be mounted on top of the side panel next to the rear quarter light? Question is, is it that easy or does it need a software change as well? Anyone done this successfully? Thanks for any help!
