Hey everyone, I recently upgraded the original OEM halogen headlamps on my 2016 Audi A3 2.0TDI Sport (8V) Saloon (pre-facelift) to the new headlamps with LED lights, Bi-xenon main beams, and those fancy dynamic indicators. An experienced auto electrician did the install, and the new lights look absolutely stunning. However, I jumped into this without doing as much research as I usually would, and now I have a few questions I hope you can help with: MOT Issues: I've read that converting halogen headlamp unit bulbs (H4/H7) to HID or LED bulbs can cause MOT issues, but I can't find much info about replacing the entire headlamp unit itself. Will I run into any problems with my MOT (due at the end of Sept)? Headlamp Washers: I've heard that cars with LED headlamps require headlamp washers. My car has the cutouts, but I can't seem to get the headlamp washers to work (tried following some YouTube tutorials) or they may not have them at all (and Audi just left those cutouts in there). I'm hesitant to pry them open and risk breaking something. Any advice? Insurance: Do I need to inform my insurer about the headlamp upgrade? I’m concerned that not doing so might void or affect my insurance - oh and I also replaced my tail lights while I was at it, so the same goes with that. I usually do a ton of research before anything major on my car (or in life haha), but I got a bit carried away with these amazing lights—they really make the car look awesome! Any thoughts or advice from those who have done similar upgrades or know more about this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Long-time news/forum lurker, first-time poster... and its a for sale ad... sorry. Selling my S3 Saloon with over 18 months of Audi extended warranty remaining. Manual. 51k miles, FASH. The entire driveline was serviced in August 2021 when I bought the car from Tamworth Audi, which was a stipulation of me purchasing the car. This was at 39k and all other relevant work was done, as confirmed in writing by the dealership I bought it from. Car has: B&O Audio Black Heated Leather Supersport Seats NAV Bluetooth DAB Air-con Auto-dim mirrors Drive-Select with Mag-Ride 19" Forged Lightweight Alloys Tyres are Pirelli P-Zero PZ4 with approx 6mm. Front discs and pads replaced at 39k. (Audi OEM) Rear discs and pads uprated and replaced at 50k (Drilled/Grooved with Brembo pads) 11 months MOT. MOT Testers comment - "Spotless mate" HPI Clear. Bought outright with sales receipt to prove. Not accident repaired. Not modified. Not molested. Not even remapped. Genuinely a beautiful car that gets knowing 'nods' from other drivers at traffic lights and along the motorway. Will be detailed in and out before sale/handover. This was my second 8V S3 (Sepang Blue GY16NOH, if you're out there, say hello!) and I know that I'll regret selling this one as much as I regretted selling the last one BUT now living on a small Scottish Isle, she doesn't get much of a chance to run for long periods and stretch her legs, and I basically refuse to use her for 2-3 mile hops to the shop, as she's barely even getting warmed up - I have more mechanical sympathy for a car than to do that to it! I have 3 other cars and multiple bikes already, so really not looking to take a part-ex/trade, unless you're willing to take less than your car is worth, as I'll just have the inconvenience and hassle and cost of selling yours on after this... and I'll want your old car gone quickly due to space and family commitments, so will be selling on cheaply. However, if you don't mind that 'too much', then try me. Located on the Isle of Arran in Scotland, (look for Glasgow and then look West) but frequently work near Liverpool, so can be viewed in either place, or anywhere between. Will deliver anywhere in the country if you're happy to pay for the fuel and my 1st Class train ticket back. No Megabuses, thank you 😉 Price - £22k

Welcome! With regret the time has come to put this beautiful car up for sale which I've owned for 5 months with the sole intention to take it around Europe on an extended trip. From cold starts in the 5c UK morning to high speed cruising through France in the 38c summer heat, it never let us down even once. An absolute testament to Audi, the previous owners and the professionals who have worked on this car through the years. Absolutely no expense spared, all modifications professionally done with receipts totalling near £20,000! This is for me the ultimate touring car, with room to spare holding 4 x 32kg suitcases and performance to make you feel like you're in a leather clad rocket that can still manage 32mpg!! Car was serviced before purchase and twice over my ownership (Millers CFS 5w40 NT+) with plenty of brakes and tyre tread remaining. During my 10,000 miles I have done little but clean, service and fuel the car. One water-to-air intercooler was replaced to fix a slow leak which has not returned since. I went above and beyond in my servicing by also changing the supercharger oil per general consensus of modified performance enthusiasts along with the charger belt and a magnetic oil sump plug. Car recently treated to full wax, machine polish & paint protection at considerable cost, so completely free of swirl marks! Comes with 3 keys & leather Audi keyring. Owned by 5 previous car enthusiasts, car has a full history (vast majority Audi), original service manuals with the Audi folder, including the factory vehicle inspection form, tonnes more paperwork, this is a later 2010 model and has had all common issues (water pump, gearbox) already remedied by Audi obviously with receipts to prove. Visually: The deep sea blue pearlescent paint is simply magnificent, sparkles and changes colour depending on viewing angle and lighting. The car has subtle visual modifications setting it above and beyond all other Audis new and old, aiming for a stealthy low key yet aggressive look. Surrounding the bottom of the car are custom silver painted sideskirts, splitter and diffuser complete with a custom black & red Audi Sport colour theme, with the front and rear RS bumpers and black Milltek exhaust tips bringing together an excellent RS style package that turns heads everywhere. All badges except the Audi emblem have been removed, window trim chrome has been blacked-out and rear windows tinted. To finish off, the car has been lowered slightly, sitting on 20" genuine Audi RS6 "peeler" alloy wheels showcasing drilled & grooved 2-piece performance brake discs. All of this, I can attest, is to zero compromise on practicality, this beauty truly flaunts the timeless saloon car figure and propels styling, performance, handling and safety to the next level, whilst maintaining Audi comfort and luxury. Interior & Specifications: Top spec dual-clutch 4-wheel drive QUATTRO model with tonnes of features all of which are working. Lots of modern features included; ABS, dual climate control, sat nav, auto xenon headlights & auto rain wipers with adjustable sensitivity. Add to that traction & stability control, combined with the excellent semi-automatic 7 speed S-Tronic DSG gearbox that allows manual override via both flappy paddles and gear-stick, you also have Audi drive (mode) select, the coveted Audi rear sports differential, adaptive suspension dampening and adjustable dynamic steering feedback. Inside is in PRISTINE condition; 2-tone black and beige leathersport seats - heated, carbon atlas interior, B&O audio system with 11 speakers including sub-woofer, metal foot pedals, lighting pack (foot well, doors & glove box), cruise control, Sat Nav, DAB radio, Bluetooth & AUX adapters for MMI with DVD player plus in-built + SD card storage. Aircon and dual climate control with rear passenger control, HID bi-xenon auto-on and auto-levelling headlights, electric seat adjustment for both seats, leather multi-function steering wheel, premium protective floor mats in all foot wells, electric adjusted & heated wing mirrors, auto dimming rear-view mirror, front & rear parking sensors with centre console distance display, heat insulating glass, spare tyre & toolkit in the rear. Modifications list: Stage 2 Custom dyno tune by renowned MRC Tuning in Banbury, various dynos over the years showing 471-491BHP & 580-588Nm Torque DSG (gearbox) remap providing higher torque & rev limit, with launch control (only used half a dozen times) Enlarged supercharger crank pulley & high-grip belt to increase boost Full custom 2.75" resonated exhaust system by Milltek costing around £3.5k (no drone!) Intake kit with larger intake hose, K&N filter, and modified airbox for extra cold air flow ECS Tuning wheel spacers & 2-piece slotted & drilled brake rotors with EBC Redstuff pads Height adjustable KW progressive springs (with original Audi dynamic adjustable dampers) Genuine 20" Audi RS6 alloy wheels and Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tyres X-UK RS4 style front bumper (with parking sensors) Audi RS5 rear bumper (with parking sensors) STaSIS 28mm rear anti-roll bar 034Motorsport engine torque mount Full Interior LED light conversion B8.5 metal foot pedals Custom RS colour theme on bumper/sideskirts Rear windows professionally tinted All badges except Audi emblem are removed Blacked out chrome on window trims Hidden tracker fitted (requires subscription) not any old GPS tracker, this is the real deal! The car has also been reprogrammed to unlock additional functionality via software including the Audi debug menu, RS dashboard needle sweep upon start, oil temperature & battery level displays, enabled lowering of passenger window when reverse gear is engaged, keeping on daylight running lights when indicating, and closing/opening windows by holding down lock/unlock from remote key fob. Negatives: This is a daily driven car and certainly no garage queen which makes it's condition even more impressive. To note; few minor stone marks on front, also marks on rear bumper, small 1p crack in windshield out of driver's main view (MOT pass), shallow scuffing on edge of alloys, 1 of 2 front 12v sockets is not working. Available to view near Bristol on weekends, or during the week after 1pm - 07598901334 Price is open to offers. This car is insured for £18,000 guaranteed asset protection justified by insurers due to the car's accolade, historical records and paperwork. No test drives without cash in hand, no exceptions. I will take you out as passenger if you cannot leave payment behind. Currently located near Bristol, subject to change as we're still travelling until New Years! Don't hesitate to contact me with any questions. You will not be disappointed! Video will be added here once weather clears up For now here's some photos:

Hey guys Thought i'd join up for a b it of info: I've currently got the sport model saloon, getting a bit bored of the styling and wanted to spice it up a little. first port of call is sticking the S line exterior on it. Anyone have any experience with this? lots of front and rear bumpers without the grille/ rear available so would it be an option to buy the s line bumpers and fit the sport grill and diffuser? every other car i've had this sort of stuff is possible. next port of call would be suspension and wheels, what experience do people have with coilovers? not planning on super low but still want coils over springs. and finally recommendations for wheels. budget for wheels and coils is around 1200. Not a lot but its not going to be a show car, i just can't stand the sport wheels anymore. Appreciate anyone's input on this

Hi guys, This is my first topic in this community and I understand that maybe this isn't best forums to start with saying such a thing ,but I would like to start this thread with beeing sincere and saying that I'm newcomer to United Kingdom and that I'm originally from Latvia ,but still I'm Audi enthusiast and I hope for your help. :) So, the thing is that for a long time my dream was to purchase Audi A4 B5 facelift saloon model. It's quite common car in my country and there's plenty of them for sale ,so there's no problem with repairing if they break. And so now I'm planning in near future to buy this car in U.K. ,but theres things that bothers me - there's not very much exectly this model of Audi for sale here so I'm not sure if it wouldn't cost me a fortune to repair it if it breaks. Would you recommend me to buy this car for daily use in this country? Also what could be the common problems with exectly this model worth checking before buying? Sorry for bad English grammar. Hope for your help! :)

Hi Guys. Has anyone tried to lower 2017+ A4 B9 Saloon or Avant I have done some extensive research and it seems only two Brands are available in the UK Eibach - Pro Kit lowers F+R 30mm and Sportline F 45mm + R 40mm Emmanuelle Design (USA brand) - F+R 40mm Bear in mind Sport suspension is already 20mm lower from factory. The USA has available H&R F+R 40mm and 034Motorsport F+R 50mm I am awaiting confirmation from H&R Germany if the kit they supply the USA fits UK Specs B9 It appears no one in the UK has lowered a B9 unless I can not find any information/pics. If anyone has any information, please share it on this thread..
