I have an Audi A6 S-line 2.0TDI 177 2013 (c7) - Multitronic Gearbox For the past year or so you can see smoke bellowing out from under the bonnet from the engine bay and you get this awful smell in the cabin (exhaust fumes, burning oil smell). The smoke is coming from the back of the engine to the left (as you are looking at it). The engine bay on this side is covered in black soot This only happens when the DPF starts to regen in traffic or after doing a couple of short journeys. I have replaced part no 03L131521 JV200 (EGR Connection Pipe) as I thought it was this but the smoke keeps on coming. Coolant and Oil levels remain the same. I don’t have any lights on my dashboard either. I can tell the car is doing the DPF regen when I get the smell and see the smoke and the car starts to use a bit more fuel. The car runs fine, isnt down on power etc etc. Exhaust flow is OK. No visible oil leaks either. Has anyone had anything similar?

Hi I have an Audi a6 2014 2.0 premium plus, I’ve been having an issue where a get brake system fault and steering fault. I thought it was the abs speed sensor and have replace both rear ones but not the front is it possible that it’s my brake pads. The car seems to reset when these faults appear just confused.

Hi all, I have just had the head gasket done on my a6 c7 and when I started driving it again I noticed that when you floor the accelerator it drops to fourth gear and the revs will go to about 4000rpm before shifting which it never done before, in manual mode it shifts no problem, the battery was disconnected for around a week also, will it just take time for the car to relearn the shift pattern or is this another problem?

Hi there! I have a friend who has an Audi A6 C7 (2013) 3.0 V6 TDI and it has ceramic brakes. He told me that the car's previous owner was an Audi engineer in Germany and he put the ceramic brakes on it. Now, my friend possibly have a problem with the discs, because he might have micro damages on it. He wants to replace them, but the ceramic brakes cost a fortune, and way more than the whole car, so obviously he doesn't want that. The question is: is it possible to swap the complete ceramic brake system (incl. discs, pads, calipers and everything) to a conventional/normal brake system? Or is it a big job? That would be nice to hear that he can just remove the ceramic set, and 'plug-and-play' the normal ones. I guess it's not that easy. :) Thanks in advance, David
