Hi fellow Audi A2 aficionados, I’m thrilled to join this fantastic Audi community! I’ve recently been given permanent access to a 2005 Audi A2 and am eager to upgrade its media and audio system to a modern, touch-screen or voice-controlled Android-based multimedia unit. I’m specifically looking for a head unit (preferably with Apple CarPlay integration) that fits into a single-DIN slot, potentially with a floating or retractable screen, and includes features such as satellite radio, navigation, Bluetooth and wireless connectivity, parking cameras, and other advanced multimedia capabilities. If anyone has experience retrofitting modern head units into the A2 or can recommend the best models for seamless integration, I’d greatly appreciate your insights or first-hand experience. Hello all, First time here and I'll apologise now for asking a question that has come up a lot, but I just need to try and understand something. I have an Audi Q3 2012. Sat Nav hasn't been enabled but Audi are happy to charge me £459 to do it. I don't mind paying for it but what I'm trying to understand is if I need to at all? I'm waiting on an AMI to USB-C cable arriving later today which I'm hoping will let me use Android Auto. I've tried one already and saw "AMI not supported" on my infotainment display - but on further investigation, it appears I may need to clear the cache on my phone (Samsung Ultra 21) to fix that issue. I'm just trying to understand if anyone uses Android Auto on a 2012 Audi and via cable or if anyone knows a way I can either upgrade the firmware to allow Android Auto or install something on the head unit that will allow Android Auto. Thanks in advance for any help and assistance.

I saw a device which is Wireless Android Auto & CarPlay 2 in 1 Adapter. I got a 18 A5 hatchback, I wanted to try a device that does both CarPlay and Android Auto as my wife has an iPhone. Anyone tried this before and how is it? I have a 59 plate Audi A3 sportback and was looking to swap out the current radio for an android one that I can hook my phone up to for android auto. Anyone have any recommendations of android 10 digital radios?

Hi, I have a 2011 b8 Audi A4 Avant Black Edition, and I'm wanting to add sat nav to the interface. Any idea how? I've found a few things on eBay etc, but ideally I'm wanting to add android auto if I can. Is this possible? I keep seeing Android Auto head units online, but ideally I'd like to add this to the screen already fitted?
