Hey guys I recently had the dreaded oil pressure light come on at a stop light when engine was up to temp, I checked the oil level in the MMI and it said it was full, every time the light came on (low oil pressure) I would check the display and it was all okay. I had my OBD2 scanner plugged in and no codes, I checked throughout the day and no change, the next day it was reoccurring at every stop/ idle, I checked the oil level and it said low, the light came off and I checked again on the display and it was back to full, a few hours later there was no information about the oil, then it showed full only once again and then it hasn’t anymore to the date, I suspected a faulty oil pressure sensor so I went ahead and replaced it with a Duralast (brown) and it was still happening, I checked the sensor and it seemed like it was faulty and it was leaking as well, replaced it with a new one and it did the trick for about 45 minutes, I got a quart of oil in it and no lights on for about the same time but it came back on, although not as intermittent as before on every stop/ idle, it’s now doing it like every 2-3 stop/idles. I am now going to replace the blue sensor and hope for the best then tackle the oil level sensor below the oil pan, any ideas? PS:Oil was serviced beforehand and about the next day it started, also I did notice that the original pressure switch I replaced had two silver squares in it with a pin in the middle and a dot outside the housing, the new switch I got at AutoZone did not have the two squares in it (see photos for reference) it did had positive reviews including from someone the same year model as mine with no issues. I also reset the hood latch to make sure it wasn’t that.

Search Community T New Member Introductions Help with S4 B8 manual Sports diff oil change Tags 2009 audi s4 avant b8 manual sports differential Jump to LatestUnfollow 43 views0 replies T Taqi80 1 post · Joined 2024 #1 · 4h ago Hi Everyone! I hope someone can help - newbie here but happy to take some digs 😉 I have a 2009 S4 B8 Avant 6 speed Manual. I'm looking to change the sports diff oil. Popped under the car couple of days ago and had a look around - looks fairly straightforward 4 bolts in all. Got in touch with TPS - TPS said the quantity for both sides is (0.9l). Ordered oils - Axle oil 1L and transfer oil 2 x 850ml (Why don't Audi just make a 1L bottle!?) Bought a gear oil pump too (Amazon). The question I have is; which oil goes on which side?? One side is embossed with an Audi Logo the other with an ATF logo. I'm guessing the Axle oil is Audi side and the transfer oil is ATF side? I've attached images to help. Any advice / pointers is greatly appreciated. Thank you all! T 👍🏽

Hello, has anyone upgraded their 2012-2015 A4 Allroad Tdi Quattro Halogen headlights? Was it easy, what did you install, any part numbers & where did you buy the replacement headlights you installed...Please? I have looked online and conflicting information or not detailed enough, or not sufficient detail, so I would appreciate anyone that has done it to let me know. I am looking for brighter lights and maybe a newer look but more light is key, unless anyone knows what bulbs would be better?

I’ve recently bought a 2009 A4 (b8) and I’m looking to add an armrest. However, the interior was previously changed to an S-line interior and the centre console seems different too. I need help to find out what armrest fits this centre console. As I can’t see anything online that looks like the one I have. After doing research I found out the connector in the pocket is a phone adapter ? What is this used for and what connects to this ? See pictures attached.

Hi all, Im not sure whether this will get any attention or not but I'm looking for advice on upgrading the look of my interior. I have an A4 S Line B8 2008 model. I've seen some owners have used carbon fibre prints and stuck them onto the already silver trims. I've been looking far and wide for a trim set which includes right-hand drive stickers etc as all I can find on eBay is left-hand drive. Any advice or pictures of your improvements would be greatly appreciated! Cheers!

Hi folks. So i need some help as I'm still having trouble confirming the part number for the bottom rubber spring seat, all I've got is Part No# 4F0412066 but there's not a lot of info on the web which leads me to believe its either the wrong part number or there's a new part number for it. I've found that part no# 4F0412109 is the Top spring seat but is it the same part no for the bottom spring seat? Dealers wont tell me! I'm just missing this last bit before i can build my shocks & springs up.

One set of silver roof rails and an accompanying carry case, suitable for the B8 (2008-2016) Q5. No reason, I don't think, that they wouldn't also fit an SQ5. These have never been used. Purchased originally for a trip to the Alps in 2015, but we took another car instead. They were a couple of hundred quid new, but if you make me a fair offer just north of £50 plus shipping, I'll do the rest.

Welcome! With regret the time has come to put this beautiful car up for sale which I've owned for 5 months with the sole intention to take it around Europe on an extended trip. From cold starts in the 5c UK morning to high speed cruising through France in the 38c summer heat, it never let us down even once. An absolute testament to Audi, the previous owners and the professionals who have worked on this car through the years. Absolutely no expense spared, all modifications professionally done with receipts totalling near £20,000! This is for me the ultimate touring car, with room to spare holding 4 x 32kg suitcases and performance to make you feel like you're in a leather clad rocket that can still manage 32mpg!! Car was serviced before purchase and twice over my ownership (Millers CFS 5w40 NT+) with plenty of brakes and tyre tread remaining. During my 10,000 miles I have done little but clean, service and fuel the car. One water-to-air intercooler was replaced to fix a slow leak which has not returned since. I went above and beyond in my servicing by also changing the supercharger oil per general consensus of modified performance enthusiasts along with the charger belt and a magnetic oil sump plug. Car recently treated to full wax, machine polish & paint protection at considerable cost, so completely free of swirl marks! Comes with 3 keys & leather Audi keyring. Owned by 5 previous car enthusiasts, car has a full history (vast majority Audi), original service manuals with the Audi folder, including the factory vehicle inspection form, tonnes more paperwork, this is a later 2010 model and has had all common issues (water pump, gearbox) already remedied by Audi obviously with receipts to prove. Visually: The deep sea blue pearlescent paint is simply magnificent, sparkles and changes colour depending on viewing angle and lighting. The car has subtle visual modifications setting it above and beyond all other Audis new and old, aiming for a stealthy low key yet aggressive look. Surrounding the bottom of the car are custom silver painted sideskirts, splitter and diffuser complete with a custom black & red Audi Sport colour theme, with the front and rear RS bumpers and black Milltek exhaust tips bringing together an excellent RS style package that turns heads everywhere. All badges except the Audi emblem have been removed, window trim chrome has been blacked-out and rear windows tinted. To finish off, the car has been lowered slightly, sitting on 20" genuine Audi RS6 "peeler" alloy wheels showcasing drilled & grooved 2-piece performance brake discs. All of this, I can attest, is to zero compromise on practicality, this beauty truly flaunts the timeless saloon car figure and propels styling, performance, handling and safety to the next level, whilst maintaining Audi comfort and luxury. Interior & Specifications: Top spec dual-clutch 4-wheel drive QUATTRO model with tonnes of features all of which are working. Lots of modern features included; ABS, dual climate control, sat nav, auto xenon headlights & auto rain wipers with adjustable sensitivity. Add to that traction & stability control, combined with the excellent semi-automatic 7 speed S-Tronic DSG gearbox that allows manual override via both flappy paddles and gear-stick, you also have Audi drive (mode) select, the coveted Audi rear sports differential, adaptive suspension dampening and adjustable dynamic steering feedback. Inside is in PRISTINE condition; 2-tone black and beige leathersport seats - heated, carbon atlas interior, B&O audio system with 11 speakers including sub-woofer, metal foot pedals, lighting pack (foot well, doors & glove box), cruise control, Sat Nav, DAB radio, Bluetooth & AUX adapters for MMI with DVD player plus in-built + SD card storage. Aircon and dual climate control with rear passenger control, HID bi-xenon auto-on and auto-levelling headlights, electric seat adjustment for both seats, leather multi-function steering wheel, premium protective floor mats in all foot wells, electric adjusted & heated wing mirrors, auto dimming rear-view mirror, front & rear parking sensors with centre console distance display, heat insulating glass, spare tyre & toolkit in the rear. Modifications list: Stage 2 Custom dyno tune by renowned MRC Tuning in Banbury, various dynos over the years showing 471-491BHP & 580-588Nm Torque DSG (gearbox) remap providing higher torque & rev limit, with launch control (only used half a dozen times) Enlarged supercharger crank pulley & high-grip belt to increase boost Full custom 2.75" resonated exhaust system by Milltek costing around £3.5k (no drone!) Intake kit with larger intake hose, K&N filter, and modified airbox for extra cold air flow ECS Tuning wheel spacers & 2-piece slotted & drilled brake rotors with EBC Redstuff pads Height adjustable KW progressive springs (with original Audi dynamic adjustable dampers) Genuine 20" Audi RS6 alloy wheels and Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tyres X-UK RS4 style front bumper (with parking sensors) Audi RS5 rear bumper (with parking sensors) STaSIS 28mm rear anti-roll bar 034Motorsport engine torque mount Full Interior LED light conversion B8.5 metal foot pedals Custom RS colour theme on bumper/sideskirts Rear windows professionally tinted All badges except Audi emblem are removed Blacked out chrome on window trims Hidden tracker fitted (requires subscription) not any old GPS tracker, this is the real deal! The car has also been reprogrammed to unlock additional functionality via software including the Audi debug menu, RS dashboard needle sweep upon start, oil temperature & battery level displays, enabled lowering of passenger window when reverse gear is engaged, keeping on daylight running lights when indicating, and closing/opening windows by holding down lock/unlock from remote key fob. Negatives: This is a daily driven car and certainly no garage queen which makes it's condition even more impressive. To note; few minor stone marks on front, also marks on rear bumper, small 1p crack in windshield out of driver's main view (MOT pass), shallow scuffing on edge of alloys, 1 of 2 front 12v sockets is not working. Available to view near Bristol on weekends, or during the week after 1pm - 07598901334 Price is open to offers. This car is insured for £18,000 guaranteed asset protection justified by insurers due to the car's accolade, historical records and paperwork. No test drives without cash in hand, no exceptions. I will take you out as passenger if you cannot leave payment behind. Currently located near Bristol, subject to change as we're still travelling until New Years! Don't hesitate to contact me with any questions. You will not be disappointed! Video will be added here once weather clears up For now here's some photos:

Hello, this is a first time post, I bought a 2010 A4 TFSi 1.8 last September with around 35k on the clock. It was fine and loved it to start with, however there was a weird noise which turned out to be the water pump failing when starting the ignition, I bought as Audi used approved so was replaced under warranty, they however noticed a small oil leak when changing the pump. A short while later the car starting using oil to the extent we had reached the refil point per the on board display, luckily the dealer had given us a litre of oil (coincidence or normal practice?). Prior to. Using the car I has seen there was an issue so asked the salesman if this car is likely to be affected, he told me it was a batch in the USA, unfortunately I had to buy the car quickly so didn't have much time to research in full so took his word. We then booked into our Audi dealer for the consumption test, our car couldn't go in straight away so started using oil again, but went in before the oil refil came on again. We then carried out the test, and wouldn't you know it, the oil gauge didn't seem to move, so passed the test. We have since done anothe 1.000 miles or so and the reading is displaying around half way. I have spoken to Audi UK and they tell me it is within their tolerances, but they will organise another test at the dealer for me. I said it wasn't within my tolerances and why should a modern car need to have oil added regularly as I can only see the problem getting worse? I also realised that I do not have a full Audi service history, when I saw it online Audi approved are advertised as having been serviced by the Audi network solely, I am now worried that if there is a warranty claim re the engine at some point they can point to the fact it hasn't got s full Audi service history, and if I come to resell again don't have a full Audi service history, but think I have paid a premium to the dealer on the basis I did, as this is how it is advertised which can't be right? Overall sadly I am not as happy as I hoped, I previously had a 55 plate 1.9TDi which I loved and only changed as she started getting on the point repairs were getting dearer, I expected trouble free happy motoring for a good while. sorry first post is a rant but wondered if anyone has had same problem with oil consumption issues which aren't bad enough or where I stand re buying a vehicle advertised as having being serviced by Audi network but in fact an independent garage has also performed a service? Many thanks Simon

So I'm just about to buy an Audi A4, either 62 or 13 plate, and I see there are subtle differences between a 62 and a 12. So, is the 12 a B8 and the 62/13 a B8.5? What are the differences? I didn't realise there was this whole B thing, I don't quite understand it, any explanation appreciated!

Good Evening Ladies & Gents, I’ve noticed my front nearside suspension is creaking. The creaking is becoming more frequent as time goes on and before I begin buying parts I was wondering if anyone has any ideas of where it could be coming from? Also, since this issue has occurred, when driving around 70mph the steering wheel begins to shake. Could this be linked to it as well? Please see the attached video! Thank you! 4B319C1E-01A0-4558-948E-6CBA7B620C3E.MOV

Hi, I have a 2009 Audi S4 B8 and the clutch is slipping so i need a new one. I bought the car modified so don't know the exact mods. I know it has high torque racing pulleys on the super charger from MRC. I think MRC did a custom map on it, so i don't know if i need a stage 1 or stage 3 clutch. I do have a dyno showing about 490BHP and 400lb/ft torque. Please can someone advise me of what sort of clutches i need to be looking at as a replacement? Thanks, James.

Hi, new to the forum and after some honest realistic advice. looking upgrade the wheels on my car as a treat. got an A4 Avant B8, i;m wanting the below linked wheels TTRS in 19 inch. Would they be too big for the car, is there anything I should worry about or should I play safe and go 18 inch? Any other suggestions on making it looking more attractive would be appreciated too. I'm thinking about swapping to the RS front grill and Xenon headlights too. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/19-inch-4-New-AUDI-A5-TTRS-Style-GUNMETAL-GLOSS-ALLOY-Wheel-Gray-Ask-For-Tyre-/331994114827?fits=Car+Make%3AAudi&hash=item4d4c642b0b:g:ifcAAOSwcwhVP8kc

Hi, can someone please help me, new to this.ive got an Audi A4 b8 s line and I was getting the parking brake malfunction visit workshop on the DIS, and when I tried realising the EPB the right caliper would realise but the left wouldn't. Thought it was the caliper so I changed it with another one and it seemed okay for a day. Then the same error had came up and I stuck my vcds on and the issue is 02432 supply voltage for left parking brake motor (v282) 011 - open circuit - MIL ON. Anyone know what it could be I've tried searching for this but I haven't found anything the same. Could it possibly be the wiring harness to the motor?any help is much appreciated.

Hi, All Of late or rather in the last (2) days I have noticed the steering on my 2011 Audi A4 3.2 Quattro S Line to have become quite stiff. At high speeds I find it dangerous, as some effort needs to be put in on Lane Change. The car had been driving absolutely fine, after a Full Service. I have even noticed at slower speeds a heavy steering an again some effort an thought has to be put in when cornerImg or taking roundabouts. Prior to the issue, or me noticing. The steering was exceptional feather light on slow speeds an stiffened a little at higher . I noticed as that gave it the distinct Audi Driving Experience now feels like a older Model vehicle. The Car is a 2011 Step-Tronic, if anyone has any advise, suggestions or even the solution please share. Your comments are appreciated, Jay86

Hi guys! I'm new to this forum. Just bought an Audi A4 s line tfsi 1.8. It's the most confusing car for aftermarket audio I have ever come across. It has MMI, the single din front concert 10 speaker active system with amplifier in the boot on passengers side. I'm finding that others are getting confused as to what actual car it is. As it has basically got the black edition styling. With 19" 5 cross stroke diamond cut alloys. The top Bose amplified system. Dual heater add on, blacked out back Windows and the MMI system. To someone else the audio may sound pretty good. To me it's not all that. Bad highs, no sub bass. Midrange ok. But has built in controls that dumb down some speakers when volume is turned up (to stop people from blowing the speakers apparently). Basically, I want my 12" active sub box in the boot and later on my components, which are also in MDF BOXES. What people are telling me is this- if you have MMI, basically you've had it. Put in aftermarket HU I loose it all. So got to thinking and started looking at line level converters or LOCs to run either off speaker wires going in to amp or a hi to low unit and catch them on the output of amp (approx 20w rms) in to my active sub box in the boot. Some say I need a top range like the JL Audio (pic 1) yet other peeps say no for just your sub this should do it, (pic 2). Difference between the two in price is roughly £250 or $320. I know the JL Audio does a hell of a lot, but it's so complex I've been told to have done by pro's. Yet the other I'm quite confident that I can do it. The picture 2 is a RCA output of 2. They do a 4 RCA output version for £30 more. But some pro's are saying the cheaper ones can cause problems with the MMI system. Is this true? Can anyone help me out with my problem? Or are having similar issues? I just want a nice sound in my car. You would think a 10 speaker amplified system by Bose would sound great. Trust me, it's just ok ish at best. Thanks for reading my novel lol Dizzyone

Hey Guys, I am new to forums, I have an issue here and have been trying to find the issue online for months! Car: Audi A4 S line 2009 B8 The issue is as follows: Rattle noise coming from front/mid end of the car (not sure if its inside or outside) - hard to locate. at its worst after first starting up the car, driving over bumps and uneven roads. Runs perfectly on dual carriage ways/motorways. passed MOT has full service history, so no mechanic has been able to locate the issue but can hear the rattle. Would anyone else have any information that could possibly locate this annoying noise? I am fed up of having to drown out the noise with music!!! Suspension and main parts been checked by a mechanic. I'd appreciate if anyone could help! Thanks.

Hey guys,My Audi A4 1.8T B8 has been producing some black/blueish exhaust smoke recently, there's also a strange sound between revs and when turning the engine off. I've uploaded two short videos of the issue below: Do you guys have any idea what it could be? I've heard a few different things so far. The car it's self does use a lot of oil and is close the the 1L/1000km set by Audi, could this be related? The car it's self drives fine, haven't noticed any issue with acceleration/turbo.Any help or feedback is massively appreciated!!Thanks!

Hi All Over a year ago I moved from Passat V5 to lovely black A4 B8 2.0T 211. I absolutely love it and since last fall I started visiting track days in my audi (I have little blog about it).
