I have an Audi A6 S-line 2.0TDI 177 2013 (c7) - Multitronic Gearbox For the past year or so you can see smoke bellowing out from under the bonnet from the engine bay and you get this awful smell in the cabin (exhaust fumes, burning oil smell). The smoke is coming from the back of the engine to the left (as you are looking at it). The engine bay on this side is covered in black soot This only happens when the DPF starts to regen in traffic or after doing a couple of short journeys. I have replaced part no 03L131521 JV200 (EGR Connection Pipe) as I thought it was this but the smoke keeps on coming. Coolant and Oil levels remain the same. I don’t have any lights on my dashboard either. I can tell the car is doing the DPF regen when I get the smell and see the smoke and the car starts to use a bit more fuel. The car runs fine, isnt down on power etc etc. Exhaust flow is OK. No visible oil leaks either. Has anyone had anything similar?

Hi, not sure if this has been asked and answered already. My car won’t go into 2nd gear sometimes when changing up from first. Changed gear box oil, and replaced clutch. The engine light didn’t come on when it wouldn’t go into gear up until the clutch was replaced, it now comes on when it won’t go into gear occasionally since clutch has been replaced. Any other ideas? Thanks in advance

Hi Hope someone has some ideas and can help me with the below please? Audi A6 avant c7 v6 3L TDI I have noticed a black splatter around the coolant reservoir and top engine cover. Upon further inspection noticed a black mass of more of the same around where exhaust is coming out of the engine. It is totally solid/hard. What is that? Engine runs ok apart from very rare juddering on cold start and some coolant disappearing overtime. (Like 200mil over a month or two) No leaks of any sort noticed This black hard mass looks worrying 😞 No loss of power, no overheating, coolant reservoir nice and clean, oil cap clean, no bad smoke coming out of exhaust- none of the worrying bits if you know what I mean? Any help would be much appreciated. See pictures attached.

I have a 2012 Audi A6/C7 3.0 V6 TFSI with adjustable air suspension which has just been a nightmare. After changing all 4 air bags and the relay, it took just a few months before it dropped again on all four corners. I just want this nightmare to end. I've decided to convert to coils and settled on the ST kit for my car. The problem is ST doesn't want to sell it to me! My local dealer said the kit is not applicable to units with adjustable dampening/level control. But thats the whole point! I just want to convert to normal springs and never have to worry again. If its just warning lights on the dash coming up after the conversion I can live with that. If theres a way to cancel those errors, I'd really appreciate the instructions. I'm really looking for is someone who has a 2012-2014 A6 or A7 (C7), S6 or Allroad with the air suspension who has converted to coils. Pls., pls. let me know: 1) If the ST coils will work out. Will they fit without issues or do I need to buy any additional parts? - https://www.ecstuning.com/b-suspensi...g/1321000b~st/ 2) If you didn't use the ST's? What coilovers did you use? 3) Are the level controls/EDC going to be an issue after the conversion? Or is it just warning lights? 4) How to cancel/code-out the lights? Praying someone will help end this nightmare. Thank you.

Hi Folks, New Audi owner here...Black edition A6 Avant C7. Over the moon bar one or 2 issues...one being related to maps! Please help? I've scoured the internet for information and have some but i am a typical over thinker and as such, require confirmation and help on things before jumping in two-footed 😐 My physical location is well far off my GPS location. I am in Birmingham for example (UK) and the GPS thinks i am in Scotland. After reading around, i understand there is a water ingress issue with the shark fin arials on the C7's potentially..I want to ensure it's not just software before going down faulty hardware route - i need to establish this ASAP so that if it is hardware, i can take back to the dealer (which is a considerable distance from me, so i'd like to be sure). My question - How do i update maps myself? Local audi dealer has been useless... I can't even get in to talk to them. I have requested an audi connect code (another issue i've got as cannpot get connect services to work correctly) from them as i don't have the original one and it's hurdle after hurdle. Map updates too seem extortinate and would rather self-install in case that isn't the problem at all... My current MMI version is: MHI2_ER_AU57x_S2519_1 ..... I BELIEVE i need to update to MHI2_ER_AU57x_K3663 ....... I have found a few places online to download the files but i don't particularly trust them and want to be sure i get the correct version (i have read it differs depending on sound system and subtle changes to software code may need changing - I have Bose sound and if i'm reading in the correct places this means the update software is slightly different - can anyone confirm?)....So sorry for dragging this out, i guess my question is can anyone please advise on a suitable location to obtain the correct update files (other than audi) so i can investigate software vs hardware fault? Thanks in advance for taking the time to read this and Hi, i'm Lewis 🙂 I like to get involved in online communities and having purchased an Audi very recently, i hope i can be part of this one and gain useful info as well as contribute what i know and discover along the way should it become relevant. Tinker by trade and love playing about with things (no dirty jokes please). BR, Lewis

Afternoon all I have a 2014 plate A6 Estate and I would appreciate any advice you may be able to give. Last week I had it booked in for a service at a local garage on Friday. 36 hrs prior to the service the catalytic converter light came on, and so I dropped it off early with the garage and asked them to investigate the light after they'd done the service. I got a phone call from said garage, at around 1300hrs on Friday telling me that they'd done the service and that their diagnostic kit had come up with 3 separate fault codes relating to the warning light - namely a glow plug code, a Diesel Particulate Filter code and a cam shaft alignment code (the cam shaft was replaced last Autumn). The garage said that they could do no further diagnostics as their kit wasn't in depth enough, but they put me in touch with a garage with better diagnostic kit. Car has been with the second garage all morning today, and they tell me that they can't find any faults (possibly as the first garage may have deleted the fault codes). No warning lights, no fault codes, zip. Has anyone had circumstances like this before? Thanks in advance for any help you can give. LO PS - Picture of the warning lamp in question.

I've got an Audi A6 C7 2015 facelist model. Ive seen YouTube videos that you can install a firestick. After buying all the parts and getting an aux connection as I don't have the Audi connection under the armrest. See picture for the items I've bought for the HD firestick. Does anyone have any ideas how I can get the firestick to work. I've got a WiFi hot-spot in the car, just need to know how to get the device to work on the screen. Thanks for checking this out and helping with my question 👌

Hello Everyone I bought my Audi A6 C7 2012 last month it started making noise from the front suspensions this month I took it back to the dealer they changed lower arm both front but that did stop the noise knowing that it only does it if there is a road bump where the tyres drops or on motorway bump that makes the car raise high that when it does it what do you guys think? is it ARms or bushes or shock absorber please Help

I thinks that updating the mmi will corrupt the mmi and have knock on effects and not allow me ever to drive the car again. and that there is no way of putting the car back because I dont have the orignal firmware disc. is this true?

Hi all, my heated steering wheel isn't very warm at all and with winter approaching I was wondering if it can be adjusted somehow - obviously there are no standard control options for it but assuming someone can use one of the swanky leads and adjust it? I asked the dealer and they said they could investigate the issue (!) and charge me by the hour for it.... errrr no thanks! Google throws up a bunch of posts - some more vague than others, some saying that it could be a faulty steering wheel or that actually its not hot just slightly warm.... compared to my Jag, Merc and other cars with heated wheels its very luke warm and cuts out really quickly... anyone else any views, thoughts or magic fixes?
