Saying goodbye to this classic car as we have not been using it much. This car is ideal for someone who would continue taking care it and improve it as it still has many years to serve a car lover. It's family owned, passed down from father to son. It's a 30-year old beauty, mainly driven by father and brother around London, hence low mileage and 3 owners (including us). The car was bought new by father. Service history is partial as he was bad at keeping documents! The car has a modern radio (no original radio). It has marks on bodywork, but mechanically it's been checked and has had work done. It drives and starts fine. The interior is fabric and needs a clean. Engine size 2309cc. It's convertible, but the roof is put down manually. The roof is in good condition, although reproofing is needed and a small tear needs to be patched. Car reg K2LGW. Currently has a valid MOT. Located in Earlsfield, London. Open to offers. Don't hesitate to get in touch if you have further questions on 07475091685! 🙂

For Sale - alloy housing for the boot release and number plate lights, including boot-release grip - tip-top condition. I fitted this part, new, to my car a couple of years ago, after the original had corroded so badly that one of the number plate lights fell out(!). Although it's from a 2006 A4 B7 convertible, it also fits a number of other Audis - its part number is 8E0 827 576 3FZ Reason for sale - I have fitted an aftermarket part that includes a reversing camera. These seem to be listed for £130 plus on eBay - how does £65 including GB postage sound? Mike 😎

Hi all, I'm a long time Audi owner (about 25yrs) and currently have an A4 convertible 2.0 Tdi 140ps, which I have lavished altogether too much money and time on... 😆 My Audi history includes a number of cars... ...but for 10 years and 160+K miles, my venerable old A6 2.5Tdi quattro Avant served me well... Anyway - I have a brake pipe question that I'll put in the correct section - just wanted to say hello. Mike 🙂

Hi all, I'm looking for a new home for my A4 cabriolet. 2006, and I've owned her since 2007. I want her to go to someone who will take the time to restore her to her former glory. Her engine is fine but there are a few electrical bits that need repairing. Any suggestions of where to post an ad please? I'll add pictures but I wasn't sure if this was the right place.

Hi all Just bought an A4 convertible with a dodgy roof. Guy has had it sitting for a while and stated that the roof did work before but doesn't now. upon getting the car home the 6 week old battery didn't hold a charge and left me stranded outside the chippy. heres the facts.... 1. central locking doesn't work 2. windows don't work 3. roof is dead 4. interior lights don't work 5. soft top warning keeps saying its not shut Ok, a little faultfinding tonight however I do believe the comfort control module is at fault here with all these issues. 1. the thick red wire going into the pump is getting a constant 12v even when the ignition is off. seems strange to me but I'm not an audi engineer 2. all the fuses are intact 3. replaced battery however I do think there is a draw coming from somewhere to have killed the last battery (thank god for Halfords warranty and an owner that kept receipts) 4. pump looks totally dry (moisture wise) but without a more in depth diagnostic machine we couldn't run it 5. vag com says that fuse 30 was open circuit - could have just us dicking about with it. Are we on the right track here? the comfort control module surely does all these things. I've bought a pump to be belt and braces but these things are around £180 second hand

Hi guys, hoping someone could shed some light for me I've recently had a a4 convertible, the roof unlatches and that's about it. I cleaned the bushes on the motor still the same. Done manual reset still nothing. Thing that's got me thinking is I can hear a noise when you put the switch into open which is confusing me a bit. Is the motor gone is it ok? Hope somebody could give some advice. Thanks

Hi I want to install the hardwire kit for my Nextbase Dashcam Everything is fine on the install but just curious to know how to remove the A Pillar trim without damage so that i can run the power lead for the dashcam. Do i need to remove the sunvisor or is it just a case of gently easing out the trim with some trim removal tools? Any help/pointers appreciated

Hi All, I recently purchased a 2007 B7 cabriolet that needs some work. I am wondering if the front wings, bonnet, bumper are the same as a 2007 B7 saloon/avant. Your help and knowledge would be greatly appreciated as main dealer reluctant to give out part numbers. thanks in advance.

Please can I ask for advice and guidance about my A4. It's a 2003 convertible, silver with dark blue hood. Last year the glass in the hood came away from the fabric which meant water was able to get in. Took it to my local garage who made a pigs ear of it, decided to take it off the road for the winter and under a wrap to keep the rain out. We tried again earlier this year to reglue the glass to the fabric of the hood, and it failed again, so made the decision to get a new hood Done some research and found a second hand hood in good condition, in blue. My problem is finding a mechanic who can fit it as it is a specialist skill. I'd like to find an alternative to taking it to the usual hood specialists as they are charging between £750 to £900 to replace the hood. I love my car and it drives beautifully, but the reality is its done 101k miles and that is a lot of money to spend when the car itself is not worth much more. It would be a great help to find a place where they can fit the hood I've sourced. Feeling very sad as I can't drive it with all the rain we've had. Can anyone help please?

I have an issue with a water leak on my Audi A4 Convertible 2005. This has water appearing in the drivers footwell. The drain grommets under the battery and servo are both clear, and no evidence of water build up. The effect is a bit strange. The carpets do not get a water build up on them when the car is stationary and it is raining, they only seem to get wet when the car is then driven. It appears to be near the footrest area that gets wet. The water is obviously rain water - there is no smell to it and the car is not loosing coolant. Any one got any ideas? Thanks

Hi guys I'm wanting to put upgraded H7 headlight bulbs in the low and high beams what's the best way to get them in as there is not a lot of room to work with and I have big hands so not good as I have already replaced the DRLs with LED replacement bulbs and they were a nightmare to do on the near side I had to remove the wheel and the arch cover to get to it but was still not ideal. Makes me wonder why car companies these days make it so difficult to do a so called easy job! Any help would be appreciated I have a 2012 a3 convertible cheers Bubba

First time posting here and looking for some advice help. As the title says some drunken expletive expletive expletive put a brick through the rear window of my 2010 A3 convertible. No other damage. Autoglass cant do the repair so insurance suggested I contacted Audi for advice and quote. The gentleman at Audi that I spoke too said that the rear window is not a replacement part on its own and the entire hood will need replacing at a cost of £7k for the hood and £2k for labour costs. Spoke with the insurance and they are considering whether to write it off as the cost of repair is the same as the cost of the car. Has anyone had their A3 rear window screen requiring replacement before and is it possible to do without complete hood replacement. Rather distressed at this if I may add that my car maybe written off because of a smashed window. Thanks in advance for your replies.

I have a 2003 Audi A4 convertible with standard 16inch alloys. How big can I go without spoiling the ride/handling? I don't really want to change anything else apart from the wheels though, so not bothered about too large. I was thinking maybe 17/18inch? Any help would be appreciated from anyone that has gone bigger.

Hi Guys, Needed some help and advice. I hadnt tried my convertible roof for a few months now, since then i had the whole left side of my car painted (3 panels which were removed and painted from car plus bumper). I hadn't checked the roof opening/closing before and after the car returned! When i recently tried to open it, the roof opened fully. I drove around for a while and when i got to the park, i tried closing it, and thats when it wouldn't close. I could hear the hydraulics trying to close it but back panel only opened slightly and wouldn't go further. I closed it manually. The next day i tried openeing it again with button and now every time, it unlocks the roof and raises an inch but doesn't go further! I tried a manual reset by: Turning the car off, then manually opening roof and closing roof. Started car up again and tried and still nothing worked! This sums up what is currently happening: 1. if i turn car on i get flashing roof light. Which goes after a few minutes. 2. press the 'roof down' button, windows go down, roof dis-engages then stops after one inch. Storage compartment does not open. 3. Have to press roof button again to close it. Thanks, Nads
