Hi there, I recently fitted a double DIN stereo/GPS head unit in my other car (Škoda Superb), and have been impressed with its performance. I'd like to try to do the same to my B7 Convertible. I currently have a single DIN stereo fitted, but I've just ordered a used frame off eBay (part number is 8H0 858 005A for the double and 8H0 858 005 for the single)... There's a YouTube video of how to do the job: ...in fact, there are several. Has anyone here done it? Any tips? Thanks in anticipation, Mike PS One of the plusses with the unit I fitted in the Superb was its ability to accept a signal from a wireless reversing camera. This is another enhancement I'd like to fit. The camera is situated in either the boot release handle, or a number plate light. Once hooked up to a power supply, it sends its signal to a receiver connected to the rear of the head unit...

I bought my self a lovely new Pioneer avh-z3000 https://www.pioneer-car.eu/eur/products/avh-z3000dab for my audi 2011 8P and was loving life, then a month later someone else fancied that unit too and smashed my window and stole it!! (sods) Anyways I'm now trying to find a double din unit with similar features (dab, car play) or alternative that has a detachable face. I've done so much looking around online and I simply can't find anything suitable. I believe the main reason my stereo was stolen was the appeal of a the big screen, so thought take that away and it would be a massive deterrent. There are American alternatives in the NEX range but they don't support dab, also there are others with Sat Nav built in but that's the whole reason I went for car play, didn't want to spend the extra money on sat nav! Does anyone know of good double din stereos that will have a detachable face? edit: just spotted there is a stereo forum please move to there if it's a better place for this, sorry!

A4 AVANT TDi 143k miles 2002 - sump gone turbo needs replacing cost more to fix than trade in - 4-new types this year and new battery 4 weeks ago. Well looked after car, suspect worth more as parts! If interested i'm open to offers.
