Hi all, I'm hoping that someone can help me out with my 2009 A3 8P. It was working great before but today when i unlocked the car, there were some warning lights on (Steering wheel, airbag, battery charging and a few more) without the key in. When I tried to turn on ignition, the instrument cluster had no lights and the dials did not work at all. Everything else (lights, radio and a/c) works and the car cranks first time but stops after running for 2 seconds. I tried disconnecting the battery and shorting out the positive and ground wires together which did not work. Fuses in both engine bay and driver side were fine and I did not see any corrosion on any wires and fuse boards were dry. I even tried reconnecting the multiplug behind the instrument cluster which did not fix it. I ran a scan which showed no communication with the instrument cluster so I thought it meant that the instrument cluster was gone and left it for the day. A couple hours later, I found the the left side DRL and right rear fog light was on even though the car was locked and the the light switch was off. I've replaced my battery earlier this year and it is fully charged as I had a long drive the day before. The car started first time 3 times but cuts off 2 seconds later as well which I'm assuming is probably the immobiliser. I'm not sure what is the issue now so I was wondering if anyone might have an idea what else to do before I commit to sending the instrument cluster. TIA

Good day all. As I am trying to keep the classic on the road I am now in need of a wiring diagram so that I can replace the main fuseboard (already purchased) If anyone can point me in the right direction I would be hugely appreciative. Alex P.s. if you have any Yorkshire or Lancashire based Auto Electrical superstars that would also be appreciated.

Hi all, I've owned my 2017 B9 S5 for about a year and a half and had no issues until last week. Now problems seem to be stacking one after another, all electrical. First to go was the sound. I have the upgraded B&O system and no sound is coming from the speakers at all. When I turn the knob, all I get is the muted symbol (definitely not on mute!). I still however get reverse beeps and can make telephone calls. Yesterday I noticed that the digital dash, centre screen and warning lights have now dimmed so I can barely see anything. Even going into the settings and turning brightness up to full has no effect. This morning, I'm now getting a Yellow air bag warning light..... I'm going to assume due to the close proximity of these issues, they are linked. Has anyone else experienced anything similar or have a suggestion what it could be? The car is booked into Audi for a diagnostic in 3 weeks time so I will have to wait but with the car being just out of warranty, I assume they will attempt to take me to the cleaners 😭

Hi folks, just after some advice I have a 2008 a6 avant. The mmi has packed in, the initiation screen comes on when I press the power button, but goes off after a couple of seconds. I've heard about water ingress from the rear washer pipe after cold weather usage and I belive this has happend as I used the rear washer on a cold morning and it stopped working the same day. I've had the amp out and the wire block connection has whitefish marks on it. I've have not opend the unit yet though. Can I fix it with a clean or will I need a new amp? Or am I way off base ha ha? Cheers

Hi Everyone, many apologies for not being on the forums at all lately. Within the past 6-weeks, I have been informed (not witnessed myself), that my car, when parked, will randomly have the Hazards lights flashing quickly and the headlights flashing on/off, in a way where it acts like the alarm has been activated. But not once, did anyone mention the alarm sounding. Two incidents were at work and the last was at home 2-days ago, about 2am. I was woken and informed that the lights on my car were going off but there was no sound of an alarm. I then used the Remote to unlock/lock the vehicle and left it. Did not happen again. I think that something is triggering the alarm but not activating the siren. Yesterday, I did a simple test. Sat in the car, opened the Drivers side window and then locked/armed the vehicle with me inside. After 1-minute of sitting still, I waved my arms about and moved and the alarm was trigged and the siren was heard. So I know the siren works, but I have no idea or understanding why my vehicle is having these symptoms. I have seen NO attempt of break-in, vandalism etc.. The vehicle is now over 3-years old (Registered November 2016) and I have Extended Warranty on the vehicle but before I contact Audi, I was enquiring to see if anyone has experienced anything similar and if anyone knows what it is. 2016 Audi A6 (C7), 2.0 TDi Ultra S-Line S-Tronic (190PS). Mileage 34,330 miles. Thank-you.

Boot could not open without key manually, rear registration bulbs blown, rear fog lights out. All went at the same time, with the lights warnings coming up everytime on start up. Took to car to Auto Electrical in East London. They had it for a couple of hours and fixed the issues in about five hours. Charged me under fifty pounds, It was the boot wiring hinge wiring loom again three wires broken. (Cost me around £60 to fix earlier this year when one wire broke).

Hi, I have recently bought a 2004 A4 Avant. The car is fitted with the bose sound system and have a single slot CD player with radio. My question to you guys is, am i able to fit Audi's sat nav system straight in? I just feel like the gap that will be left once i remove the current system won't be large enough to accommodate the new. I hope that this all makes sense and would really appreciate an answer, with suggestions if it is an issue but there are ways around. Cheers in advance Charlie

Hi. I have a 2005 A3 2.0 TDI and having some strange issues with the clock and date and computer 2. 1. When trying to set the clock it will allow me to set the hours but when I try to set the minutes it won't allow it and then just resets the whole time to a random number. 2. When the engine is switched off overnight the clock usually resets to 00:00 but sometimes rests to a random number. 3. even when the clock does show a random number it does not count up each minute just sticks on the random time until the car is left off overnight when it will reset itself again. 4. Computer 2 does not seem to be holding the average mpg and just matches computer 1 as if it again is resetting itself overnight. Any similar experiences? I've checked the fuses. Starts fine. Any suggestions? Thanks
