Good Afternoon, I'm new to the forum. I'm looking at a temporary run-around car at the weekend and would like some advice. Its a 2005 B6 Audi A4 3.0tdi S-Line Quattro, it has a full service history (not all main dealer), 200K miles, MOT till June 2018. Also, 18" RS6's, full 2 tone leather, dual climate control, rear park sensors, sat nav, on board computer, roof bars etc. £1,500.00 due to mileage. What is the major problems with these cars? should the oil pump have been replaced by now? what should i look out for in the service history? I've attached advert of the car in question, i'll likely do 7k mile maximum and be selling. I'll like bring a friends diagnostic computer with me and a mechanic if possible. Thanks Aaron Flanagan

Does anyone on this forum have a 2016 A4 Avant 2.0? I'm seriously considering buying one but I'm put off a little by some reviews I've read. Claimed combined consumption is around 70mpg but a couple of the motoring mags say that in real life it's about 40 which isn't that good these days. Any owners who can tell me please? Anything else about the new Avant I should be aware of? Thanks.

Audi A6 Quattro 2.5 ltr TDI - P Reg (1996)

Gutted to be selling my Audi A6 Quattro 2.5 ltd TDI 6 speed. The car has approx 215,000 miles on the clock and the engine was replaced about 70,000 miles ago. This vehicle is a non-runner as the head gasket has gone. As far as can be told there is no engine damage and this would be an easy project for a hobbies / enthusiast. It had a new radiator and water pump in March last year. Chassis is in good condition as is the body work for it's age. Various scuffs (light level scratches) and a couple of tiny dents dotted around. Sold as seen (minus the bike rack). Prior to the head gasket going it was a great car to drive, powerful and well balanced and sadly got my first speeding ticket in so there is considerable sentimental value! Engine cover is available, it just wasn't on the engine when I took the photos. Also please note the bike rack on the back doesn't come with the car :) Vehicle registration is P51 LYA - I've just taken my cherished plate off it hence the lack of plates on the car. Fantastic Audi Allroad Quattro TDI 2.5l 53 plate estate with leather interior. Got lots of mod cons including heated seats. More details on request. In perfect condition inside and out but got issues with turbo boosting. It is slipping gears and currently off road. Would be great to repair it but cannot afford it and have no mechanical skills. Sat on the driveway with a SORN and no insurance so could really do with selling this soon. Would be great for anyone with the skills to repair the turbo boost or for someone wanting spare parts to repair another car. Reasonable offers considered.
