Hello! I am new to this forum so apologies if this is posted in the wrong section. I have done some servicing work on my 2015 (65 plate) Audi A3 8V 1.6TDI yesterday. Part of this service involved replacing my leaking injector seals and rocker cover gasket. I completed the job, injectors looked mint when they came out, just a tiny bit sooty but that wiped up fine. Injector seals all replaced, rocker cover gasket replaced. All re-fitted. All fuel lines, return lines and electrical connections re connected, and all connectors labelled before removals as well as injectors to ensure they went in the same place. However, on the first fire up. The car initially ran on all 4 cylinders for around 10 seconds before the engine knocked and shut off. Which is fairly typical when breaking into the fuel system, as the same had happened when I changed my fuel filter a few months back. On the next start ups, the car now only runs on Cylinders 1 and 3. With 2 and 4 not firing. Unplugging injectors 2 and 4 has no change to the engine running condition, but only then throws an injector code if you unplug them. So far I have tried bleeding the fuel rail multiple times and everything seems well bled. I even attempted swapping Injectors 1 and 2 over. This still resulted in Cylinder 1 firing and Cylinder 2 not, which leads me to believe this is not an injector failure. Any help or advice at all would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance! Hi all, First time posting on here, apologies if i'm not posting in the right area but I'm in need of some advice if possible. I've got an A5 3.0 V6 TDI (not quattro version) and I think I've got an issue with two injectors. I've had a mobile mechanic out to look at it and he's suggesting there's nothing wrong with the injectors but there is an issue with the exhaust manifold. Issues are: Car is shaking quite a lot on idle and also when slowing down to a stop Fuel leaking from two injectors (front left and front right injectors) - I took it to a mate of mine who's good with cars and he pointed out there was diesel running down the engine from two of the injectors although it wasn't a lot. Strong smell of exhaust inside cabin (although i'd say its more like a cooking oil smell) Loud ticking noise coming from engine I had a mobile mechanic come out to look at it a week later and there was no fuel leaking from either injector, he didn't think there was an issue with them but I disagreed. He noticed some gunk at the exhaust manifold and said that it looks like the seals have gone on both sides. I've googled the issues and there seems to be a few threads about injector issues causing gunk to leak out of ports in the exhaust albeit its usually black gunk and mine isn't. I've uploaded a video of one side of the manifold, is the mobile mechanic correct in the manifold needs re-sealing or is the gunk likely caused by the injector issue? I'm not great with cars so any advice is greatly appreciated! IMG_6968.MP4

Recently purchased a 2013 A6 Avant 2.0 TDI (private), after a few 100 miles one of the injector clamp bolts came loose, have removed this to find about 5mm of thread stripped and intact in the thread of bolt, replaced the bolt with a new one to get the car running and seems to be running fine however I am weary as obviously there is now less thread to retain the new bolt. Does anyone know how deep the thread is for the clamp retaining bolt and do you think I should get this professionally repaired. I am assuming this will be something similar to a helicoil insert. Any help/advise would be appreciated, I am also interested to know if anyone else has had a similar issue and a rough guess as to how much i could expect from a garage bill.
