I noticed a leak from a coolant elbow joint on the driver side towards the rear of the engine, by battery compartment, looking for a part online or any reference from the repair manual that I don't have. Pictures attached so show leak and location. Any help or links would be appreciated Many thanks Tom

Hi all, Just bought a second hand A4 Avant 2016 2.0 TDi Ultra this week. Wondering if anyone has seen this before? Noticed a puddle under left front yesterday. Has gotten bigger overnight. Had a feel and did the old smell test, was a bit greasy but didnt smell of oil. When I wiped the damp area underneath, again it was more wet than greasy. Partner said she'd had the aircon on high so I'm wondering if it's that. The car had been off the road since early-March. Only bought it 4 days ago so can still take it back and I did take out an extended warranty. Any help appreciated though. Thanks, James

Hi, First time here so hello and thanks for reading. Yesterday I had a minor disaster occur in the form of a broken oil-line pipe in the transmission which caused all fluid to leak out. At first the dashboard readout said "Gearbox malfunction - continue to drive" .. so I did. Little did I know the transmission fluid was continuing to leak out until there was none left. Obviously I've trashed the gearbox and just wanted some advice really. Has anybody else experienced this? If so, did you take it up with Audi / a dealership and if so, what did they say? The car's done 90K miles, new gearbox fitted at 60K miles. Any and all advice welcome, thanks very much! - Steve

Hoping someone maybe able to help. I have this week started to loose daily a lot if not all water and screen wash and my warning light comes on and says please turn off engine immediately and check coolant. On inspection under the bonnet, although I am no mechanic, I did have a look to see if I could see any obvious problems. I topped up the coolant with water and windscreen wash with screen wash, and a small hole in the silver pipe is where it looks like the water is spurting out from and dripping down through to the drip tray, soaking everything else on its way through. It looks almost like an indent in the metal pipe, where a small hole is. Its not something iv ever noticed before, so i am quietly confident this is where its leaking. My question is, does anyone know what pipe this is? And could I just repair the pipe in some way? If anyone has had a similar issue, or has any knowledge I would be extremely grateful for any feedback. I have included a video below to where the hole is: https://1drv.ms/v/s!AneYjOGtAPi5gX35wfkMJN_RNr6D?e=AR733r

I have an issue with a water leak on my Audi A4 Convertible 2005. This has water appearing in the drivers footwell. The drain grommets under the battery and servo are both clear, and no evidence of water build up. The effect is a bit strange. The carpets do not get a water build up on them when the car is stationary and it is raining, they only seem to get wet when the car is then driven. It appears to be near the footrest area that gets wet. The water is obviously rain water - there is no smell to it and the car is not loosing coolant. Any one got any ideas? Thanks

My recently aquired A4 Avant has rain coming in from the roof above the drivers side sun visor dripping onto the drivers seat it seems to be worse while driving. The only place I can think it must be coming from is the roof rail, rubber seal looks ok from what can be seen. Does anyone know please where I can get replacement seals please? or is it dealer only? any ideas of prices please. I just want to replace the front seal as there are no leaks anywhere else. The car doesn't have a sun roof.

Hello, I seem to have oil leaking from below my alternator. I'd checked the belt a week or so ago so it's a recent development. My concern is it could lead to the belt slipping and/or coming off which is a real pain in the backside. I snapped a few photos, has anyone had a similar issue? Any advice on where this is coming from would be great, I can't see the source because whatever it is, is below the alternator. The underside is covered and because of the belt it's also sprayed about a bit. Thanks in advance.

Hi All, I have a 6 month old Audi TT (which I love), that now has a soaking wet floor on the passenger side (which I hate!). What could have caused this? I've got it booked into a garage but they can't see it until the end of the month because I need a courtesy car. Is this a common fault as I don't think it's very acceptable.

Hi everyone ^_^ I bought an Audi A4 Cab in August, and not long after I heard a grind in the steering, at very low speed but not dry steering, like parallel parking etc. I asked for it to be looked at when I had it in to get the timing belt done but they couldn't get it to make the noise, same goes for when I tried to show people the noise, but now its getting more frequent, its just like a really loud low pitched groan, it sounds like there's no hydraulic fluid but I checked this the first time it happened, it was very low but not empty, so I topped it up straight away and it hasn't gone down since, I'm thinking maybe its been low too long and some steering components have become damaged due to not having enough fluid? Has anyone else had this problem? Also, a coupe of things I've fixed this week, in case anyone comes across a similar problem: 1) On Sunday night, I opened my boot with the key boot release button, and then I couldn't close it again, it kept bouncing back open, after stripping the boot lining off I found that my boot lock actuator had seized, this connects to a metal rod which releases the boot lock mechanism, this cost me £45 for the part which I fitted last night and the problem is solved! 2) Whilst I had the boot lining off I found that all underneath it was soaking wet, including the electronics and the signal boosters for the stereo, so I took the boosters out to dry overnight and used electric cleaner on the plugs and left them to dry out. Then yesterday after fitting the new actuator I took the strip brake light out which is on the curve of the boot with it being a cab, I found the gasket around the light was split and worn, so i cleaned the light up and put the gasket back on surrounded by sealant for temporary measure, this has made it water tight so should be ok until I can get hold of a new gasket. 3) I had my can-bus system screaming that I had a rear side light out but I had changed the bulb twice and it still wouldn't come on, so on closer examination I realized the negative connection had snapped off, to avoid replacing bits of my light I just took the little bit of metal that has snapped, bent it in half and wedged it in next to the bulb so its making contact, and now the light works :D
