Hi all. I had my MRC stage 2 with stronic remap done a few months back and have now had time to settle in to it and do some 0-60 testing. Its my DD and i usually poodle around getting 28mpg according to the on board computer. This hasn't really changed but i'm not sure how its calculated and probably doesn't factor in the additional fuel burn as a result of the modifications. However, 300+ miles is the norm per tank. Cost - Very reasonable at £1600 all in. process - nice and easy. I just dropped the car off and it was done in a few hours. The Dyno showed 485 before losses!! The acceleration is amazing and the car just pulls and pulls. The sound of the supercharger is awesome but takes some getting used to. I ran some times on my VBOX sport as below : Weather was dry, elevation varying a little and i had 3/4 tank of fuel. Run 1 - 4.03 ESC on Run 2 - 4.06 - ESC 0n Run 3 - 3.89 - ESC off Run 4 - 3.87 - ESC off Run 5 - 3.64 - LC - This run had a very slight incline of 2m. On a strip, I think it would go to 3.5 or better. Its a completely different car but there are a few negatives; 1. Warranty could be affected. I only have a few months left anyway 2. Insurance is higher. Due to the BHP increase, mine increased from £385 to £600 3. Increased risk of drivetrain failure if you drive like a plank. 4. Might affect value when you come to sell. I think you need to keep mileage down and demonstrate meticulous maintenance. I'll be selling my Vbox sport once i have a few more times if anyone fancies one!
