I am retrofitting an RNS-E to my A4 B7 which is going OK as I previously retrofitted an RNS-D to an A4 B5 znd got it fully functional, even my local Audi dealer was impressed. This time I am a little confused by the Navigation/TV tuner. What does it do for navigation as I have no interest in TV in the car. If it serves nothing useful for the navigation I am tempted to use the connector on the head unit for an aftermarket bluetooth music interface. The CD changer connects direct to the head unit as does the GPS anttena.

I have just ordered the 2019 Nav Update for my A6 C7 2013, It has the RMC head-unit. How would I get it installed. Is it something I can do myself? Or do I need a dealer to Do It?

So 3 weeks ago, after a couple of weeks of getting an error message after trying to retrieve my online destinations in nav, i called audi uk to be told they were trying to munge together all the audi services and that the server was down for maintenance as a result. They said was likely to be a couple more weeks(??!?!?) Called today and told the same but wih no estimated fix timescale. 1. Why is no-one else talking about it. 2. Am I the only one? 3. Why do i smell a huge pile of bull here. Just cant believe they would just shut the service off indefinately while they worked on it. Am I the only one? Why does a google search bring up nothing? All answers on a postcard please.... :-)

Hi All I have a 2013 Audi A3. Couple of days back I noticed that my navigation is stuck at an offroad location and no matter what I do - the location does not change on my navigation screen. I have tried several things like resetting the MMI , pulling out the sd card and back in again, restart the car but the problem does not go away. Can anyone help me with this please ? Cheers

I own a Audi A1 with retrofited SD based navigation. For some reason few things the MMI system refuses to save once I set them:1. Autozoom (I set it to "ON" and it goes back to "OFF" then shut off my engine and come back tomorrow)2. Map display content (I check it to show nearby garages and parking only for MMI to un-check it at the next engine start)Does anyone else experience this issue on their car (regardless of the model)?

Hello everyone. I'm awaiting my A3 (2010) Black Edition which has RNS-E(?) installed. When I sat in it, there was a "plughole" for an audi cable (in the glove box from memory) which allows ipod control but I couldn't find the cable itself anywhere. The dealership says it's included but if it isn't, i'll need a new one .....problem is, which one? Firstly, being a 2010 car, will iphone/ipod track and info appear on the display? Will I be able to control it fully from the steering wheel? Secondly, if yes, then to do this what do I need? Question 1: I think the first option should work, but for more flexibility, would option 2 be OK with a standard Apple charging cable plugged into that -- i.e. would I still retain full control of the iPod with the ability to also control USB sticks if needed instead? This option gives me the widest flexibilty. Question 2: In future, if I upgrade to a newer iPod, would I also be able to simply add an iPod adapter to either option 1 or add my standard lightning charging cable to option 2 to convert to lightning equipped phones and have full control or do I need a completely new/different MMI to lightning cable? Ideally i'd like the MMI - USB cable so that I can (hopefully) plug any android or apple phone or USB stick in and get full control - I just need to know it will work before I order it (or get the dealer to provide it). Thanks for any help. P.S. I haven't recieved the car yet and this is my first Audi so I think it's an RNS-E satnav installed but may be wrong. I posted an intro in the "New members introductions" section and put a photo of the unit in the cabin in there so you can see what it comes with...
