Hi, Was hoping someone who is cleverer than me can give me some advice please. I bought my A6 back last September for £5,000.00. It has 75k miles and 2008 condition was okay despite a few minor scratches on it, so thought I got a good deal. After buying the car I learned that the passenger door doesn't initially open from the outside after un-locking the car, it only opens from the outside after you open it from the inside (if that makes sense). Despite this I was still proud of my car. In December I was trying to park and scraped it against a concrete post lol. The passenger side door has a massive scuff on it. Tried using T cut but no good as it went through the paint. The scuff is pretty bad and embarrassing if I'm honest, and I think it makes it less marketable if I ever were to sell it so I'd like to get this repaired. The best quote I've got to repair this is £250 from chips away. The door lock issue is frustrating but I can live with it but like the other issue it makes it less marketable. The best quote I've received for this £200. A part of me is thinking just get them both repaired, but that's a lot of money. What would you do if you were in my situation? Would you pay for the repairs? Sell the car? Replace the door? Thanks for your help! Vik

When I open the boot on my 2006 Audi A6, there is no boot light. As the boot is so big, it makes seeing what is at the back near impossible (and this is in broad daylight, never mind when it's pitch black)! I can see a light fitting and have managed to get it free but cannot work out how to replace this. As with the majority of the topics I seem to start, I am sure this is an easy fix - any help would be appreciated.

Hi All, just become a member of the forum having bought a 2003 1.9 tdi a4 b6 estate. A few jobs that need doing, so may be asking a few questions! Thanks in advance for any help! First of which...have just bought a new Sachs clutch/dual mass flywheel kit from euro carparts. They have also sent me an alignment tool which looks slightly odd to me (see attached pic). The holes don't seem to match up with any on the DMF or clutch?!?! Has anyone had any experience with these parts or replacing them and have any useful bits of info? Thanks!!

I'm new to this forum and am looking for advice. Bit of a story first. We have a A4 1.9tdi sport 130 2004 auto and looks like the ECU is knackered. Car was fine then on warm day after 30 mins motorway driving stopped at lights and the power completely went when pulling away but engine still running. First 3 beeps and solid amber ABS warning light followed by big red brake light warning then EML have attached photo of dash. Car would not move at all but engine running. Fault code P0600 serial communication link fault. Went back to tow car 5 hours later and it drove fine but EML on. Same happened the following day. Sent both ECU and ABS Module for testing and found no fault. Any ideas. I know ECU in this model is a common fault and thinking about replacing it with used part. If so will I need to recode the new ECU and does anyone know who does this. Or if I also get immobiliser module, keys, ignition, locks is this a plug and play? Any help?
