Recently purchased an A5 2.0tdi 2010 with the 2G MMI system. When I check the oil level even after following the instructions of warm up engine, open/close the bonnet, wait 2 mins. It still says ‘Please drain off oil’ and has done for a couple weeks. It still wouldn’t be overfilled and my brother who’s a jag mechanic said it shows no signs of being overfilled and it’s probably just slightly over and needs burning off but I’ve put on 1000 miles in 2 and a half weeks with no change. Is the oil sensor done in and does anyone know the cost of these?

Hi everyone, I have Audi Q8 2018 and it has an issue with the A/C Flaps. In the last days when the A/C is on there is no air coming from the front vents, but only in from the rear ones. If I stop the A/C, air is coming from front & rear. I have checked my car with obd and got the following issue.B109207 - Recirculation Flap Motor, Mechanical Malfunction. Anyone able to give guide/manual for replacing that part ? Part number: 4M0820511A I have paid for erwin, but unfortunately didn’t find any manual for replacing that part. Thanks in advance.

Afternoon all, I bought my 1st Audi in March 2021 and the dealer said they would service it for me. 1 year on and the oil change light is on. Is that normal? Also, how much should I reasonable expect an Audi dealer to charge for an oil change? Thanks

Hi all, Im considering buying an Audi TT S- line on around 50-60k miles and a 2009-2011 plate depending on what I find and was looking for some advice on what to look out for specifically when on a test drive and when inspecting the car? Thinking of the 2.0 TFSI engine - a there any common faults with this engine I should be aware of or any engine types I should consider? Also are there any major services I should check have been done? Are these cars generally reliable? If someone could also confirm when the facelift starts that would be good to see if I could stretch to one of those? Any help would be greatly appreciated. I don’t want to end up with a pretty lemon! Cheers, Ken

Engine taken out to change small part underneath , bust coolant tube etc. I am being moved from Victoria Audi in London to West London Audi. Hi everybody I am looking for a honest and reliable garage in and around Kingston to service my 7 year old Audi A4. I have sent it to Wimbledon Audi a couple of times, but somehow I feel they are a ripoff. Just to add, my car is an Audi A4 SE Technik TDI Quattro Diesel. I bought it for new in 2016, when it was 3 years old (I am the 2nd owner). I wonder if I need to do a cambelt change too? Do I need a Major service? I had it last serviced in Oct 2018 when it had done approx 35k miles. Right now its at 45.5k miles. so just under 10k miles in 2 years. Mostly its short drives around or max 1 or 2 hours on the odd occasion. Thanks!

Hi, My Audi A3 (registered January 2017) is due an air conditioning service and I am aware you can get it at most garages. I have seen widely fluctuating prices from £45 to £150, can i get any help as to why this is? I thought all cars got the same type of air, but have since heard that more premium cars require a different type of air (sounds daft). Can anyone please clarify? Just so I don't get ripped off! Thanks.

Hey guys, I have an Audi A1 1.5litre 35TFSI S Tronic automatic S-line purchased in April 2019. My mileage is on 9305 miles current and I phoned up my local Audi garage to find out when I should have my first service. Services plan offered: 2 services, 2 oil changes, 1 pollen filter change (normally £711), £468 on a plan. They said I don't need a service until 2 years (April 2021) or 19,000 miles, which ever is sooner. Then the next one at 38,000 miles or April 2023. I feel a service every two years is a bit too long? My friend tells me oil should be changed every year at most. My old Toyota I used to get serviced every year, so this is why I'm posting. What are your thoughts? Any suggestions? Just trying to look after my car! Thanks, Luke

Any advice or tips? Looking to buy a first gen Audi R8.
Super23.co.uk posted a topic in Audi R8 Club
Hello, As the title suggests I have been considering buying a R8. You can get a lot of car for the money but still I wonder what would be better V8 or V10 then running costs, potential bugbears and generally how they are to live with? Any advice or tips would be most welcome. Thanks! -

Mannnnnn my head got spun hard I called Audi Harold wood told him I need a minor service as Audi Chingford said major, minor, minor. He tell me he's been working for Audi for years and that's wrong! Major, minor, major is what Audi recommends he said uve been told wrong. I said ok give me a major Chingford told me spark plugs are separate from service he said no that's wrongs spark plugs included in full service price of £329. He even put in a little jab we much better then Chingford. Who telling me correct Chingford or Harold wood? Is it as Chingford said major, minor, minor, major. Or harold wood major, minor, major?

Hi guys, New to the Forum (and Audi owning). After a few VW Golf's I decided a change was needed, more so because we have a 6 month old son who is growing FAST. I picked up a Dark Blue, B6 Avant yesterday (pic attached) - 80,000 miles, some service history and the all important timing belt has been changed at 71,000 miles. It is the 2003 2.0 FSI model which I know is not the most desirable BUT I'm a practical guy, wanted something NON-turbo so that it's relatively simple. I'm not looking for speed/acceleration, more so economy and lower running costs and th ability to get involved my self. It'll be a WorkHorse more than anything. Exterior is great - no rust/scratches or dents, interior is grubby to say the least - was owned by a middle aged Electrician who must have used it as a work horse - it'll need a deep clean - lots of trim broken (arm rest/glove box/worn buttons etc). I can deal with that in time (Ebay). Asking price was £1,985 but got it for £1,500 on basis interior was messy. I feel it was a fair price. I wanted to know what you think i should look at engine-wise as most people would consider doing when they get an older second hand car for the first time? I'm thinking oil change, plugs, clean air filter and pollen filter? Should i stump up and do the coil packs as well as know that they can be problematic? MAF meter perhaps? Any other suggestions? On start up the car stutters a little and engine 'wobbles' around, but after a few revs/drive it warms up and calms down, idling well. All in all everything seems to work fine still, E/mirrors, E/Windows, Cruise Control etc. Got 41MPG crusing back to London on the M40 last night (albeit at 60-65 mph). Was expecting more like mid-30's, so pleased on the whole. Tracking out marginally, but i'll get that sorted. I'm used to a MK7 Golf company car and the brakes are sharp and responsive - this Audi feels like you have to stand on the brakes to get it to stop - is this because it's 13 years old and the car is heavier or could the pads need changing (tricky to say without seeing, I know)? No brake light on the dash. Sorry if this topic has been raised a trillion times, just getting to grips with navigating around the site. thank you in advance. E
