Hi all I just picked myself up a cracking 97 S8 I love the car but she dose have a few issues and I am just wondering if anyone else has been in the same boat and can shed any light as to what it might be. So from cold she fires up perfect and runs perfect until I shut the car off then when I start the car back up when its hot the CAT light comes on and has a missfire and will not go off again. Thoughts are as follows... OBD scan - Got a cheap scanner and came up with missfire cylinder 2 which led me to think coils - So I swapped the 1st and 2nd coils over but the missfire didn't jump (Still might be coils though and I am looking into buying new ones) Ignition amplifier unit - Read online they can go bad randomly I bought a new one as it was cheap enough and already fitted but no differance. Spark plugs - Took them out car has a full set of iridium plugs fitted but they all seem pretty fresh and good (might get another set also to rule this out) My main thought is this when I took the engine covers off to check the coil's etc I found these two plugs on the top on the engine for the knock sensors they are totally borked and fell to bits in my hand Ive ordered two new knock sensors but I also don't know if that would be cause the missfire but they are getting replaced reguardless. Weird thing is I can leave leave the car to cool off or overnight and she will fire right up again no problems plus the car will run perfect so long as I dont shut it off after a run while its hot. Its really got me scratching my head??? But thank you for any input it would be greatly appreciated Cheers Johnny.

Hi all, I have had a 2015 Q7 4.2L V8 for the last 4 years, lovely car but I am at the stage of wanting a bit more from it OR deciding just to upgrade. I am looking for recommendations into tuning modifications in or around the Essex area. Any help much appreciated.

Good morning all, I've just joined the Club and am not very familiar with Forums so if I have posted in the wrong place or broken any unwritten rules then apologies. I've just bought the attached 2004 Audi S4 4.2L V8 Quattro and am looking for a subtle bumper enhancement to give it a bit more presence. I stumbled across a bumper addition to a similar car (see the lip circled in the attached) which I think looks great. I don't know for sure if this is after market or an Audi option and cannot find it anywhere (after ages looping around Google). I would really appreciate any help tracking it down or suggestions for other bodykits which might work well with my car. All suggestions welcome! Thanks Steve

Hello everyone, I'm Matt and thought I would briefly introduce myself and my 2005 (55) S4 B7 4.2V8 Quattro. I bought my S4 in March 2018 as a treat to myself following some tough times. Two years on and I still can't drive it, but I'm determined that's going to change this year. If anyone can recommend a good place to get engine parts at OEM or uprated standard without paying stealer prices, I'm all ears! 😊

My dad bought an SQ7 last month and the list price of his car was £88k without discounts etc. Today I found out about a model called the Audi SQ7 Quattro Vorsprung, I looked at the engine specs and it’s the same engine but this car is £86k from base. The CO2 is 199 against the 190 from the SQ7. Is there any major difference between these two? I thought that it might be possibly just be an SQ7 with specific extras chosen by Audi. Can somebody tell me the exact differences between the two?

Just bought this for £400 with broken gearbox. Filled the gearbox from the trans cooler as the sump plug was rusted solid. Buy one of these for filling gearboxes they really work a treat. I used Dexron 2 atm fluid, Seems to run fine on 13 liters

63,000 miles. Full Service History. 4.2 litre V8 Engine. 2 keys plus security key. Heated Recaro leather seats. 18" Alloy Wheels. I've owned this car for the last three years. In this time it has been very reliable and a pleasure to own. I bought the car from an ex-colleague who owned it for the previous 7 years. It has been very well looked after and serviced and maintained regularly throughout its life. Full service history. MOT'd until October. Last timing belt replacement was at 145,000 miles. Bad points: Driver side window not working. The motor is still working but the clips which hold the glass within the frame have broken and jammed. Small scratch on nearside lower front bumper - this could be polished out. More photos available on request. I will take photographs of the interior and engine bay and upload these ASAP. £3,250.
