Hi everyone I’ve tried to search but VCDS comes up so much it’s a bit mental! I’ve got the opportunity if purchasing a laptop with VCDS etc. I’m likely to get it anyway for service reset and other stuff and just generally having some more functionality than handheld devices. I was just wondering does VCDS have the ability to program and or delete keys? Thanks

Hello everyone, Can anyone help me with this area in which I am very inexperienced? I am a complete newbie and have just begun to sort out with Ross-Tech help some problems with my 2006/7 A4 2.0 Avant TDi Diesel Auto. I have had an EGR delete installed and a re-mapped ECU to suit a year or so ago. Apart from that no other modifications. I now live in France and recently I had a MAF sensor fault so I replaced the sensor and all seemed well at first after a French garage reinstated the default settings and I have had a series of loss of power events plus much smoke from the exhaust varying from black to white. I had the car off the road for months, wrecked the battery and replaced it with a new one I bought and used the latest Ross-Tec VCDS Hex V2 cable connection and ran the tests with the latest Ross-Tech software. I was advised to re-test after deleting all the error codes many of which related to poor electrical voltage or inability to communicate. I did delete the codes and ran a new sequence of tests which gave apparent good results. However I have still not licked the problem and I suspect that the EGR delete has not been re-mapped but I don't know how to check that. Can any of you wizards suggest a solution? Several files attached giving as much data as I have so far. Many grateful thanks to any responders. Having issues with my Audi A3 170 BHP 2008 DPF. The DPF light came on a couple of times over the last few months, each time I took it for a blast on the motorway high revs etc and it went off, However over the weekend it has come back on along with the glowplug & engine management light. The car has also gone into limp mode. Reading up on the forums i understand it now needs a forced regen by hooking the car up to VCDS. Is this correct? Does anyone know any place in the Birmingham/ WestMidlands i can do this without having to fork out silly money? Cheers,

HI Everyone, I recently bought an Audi A6 1.8T 2001, not knowning it would have issues straight away. When starting the car, it will misfire ramdonly for the first minute or so and there will hardly be any power, then the car will seem to try as normal but does feel like its being held back a little. I bought a VAG-COM reader and used VCDS lite software to read to error codes. Please see the following codes below and suggestions where to first start to fix this issue. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Sunday, 10 January 2016, 11:21:07.
